4-3 Accessing the Hot-Swappable Drive Trays

Hot-swappable drives may be removed and installed from the chassis without

powering-down the system and without opening the chassis cover.

Accessing and Installing Hard Drives

Unlock and open the drive tray door as shown.1.

Press the release tab located on the drive tray door to release the drive tray 2.

from its locking position.

Lift up the drive tray handle.3.

Pull the drive tray door downward and pull the drive tray out from the chassis. 4.

(Note: The orientation of the picture shown below is for rack mount systems.)
