5-5 Installing the Heatsink (SC502-200B)

The SC502-200B chassis requires that an active heatsink be used to conduct heat

away from the motherboard.

Installing the Heatsink

Unplug all power leading to the chassis. 1.

Align the holes of the heatsink with the mounting thru holes in the mother-2.

board

Using the screws of the heatsink attach the heatsink to the motherboard.3.

Note:

Intel Celeron 400 35W platform motherboards may require an optimized design

(SNK-P0032A4) active heatsink. Refer to Appendix A of this manual for basic

heatsink information. Refer to your motherboard documentation for detailed

heatsink information and installation instructions, specic to your motherboard.

The SC502L-200B design is optimized for Intel Atom series platforms in which

the processor and heatsink are embedded on the motherboard. The chassis/

server does not require an additional heatsink to cool down the system.
