5-7 Installing PCI Expansion Cards
The 7036A-T can accommodate standard size add-on cards installed into all of the
slots on the X8DAL-i serverboard.
Installing an Add-on Card
Begin by removing the shield for the PCI slot you wish to populate.1.
Fully seat the card into the slot, pushing down with your thumbs evenly on 2.

Finish by using a screw to secure the top of the card shield to the chassis. 3.
The PCI slot shields protect the serverboard and its components from EMI
and aid in proper ventilation, so make sure there is always a shield covering
each unused slot.
