6-4 Drive Bay Installation/Removal
Installing a Hard Drive
The hard drive is internal and not hot-swappable, meaning system power must be
turned off before installing or removing.
First power down the system and then remove the top cover of the chassis as 1.
previously described.
Remove the drive from the drive tray.2.
Install a drive with the printed circuit board side facing down and so that the 3.
mounting holes align with those in the chassis.
Secure the drive to the chassis with screws.4.
Replace the top cover when fi nished.5.
Note: the 5017C-LF can accommodate one 3.5" hard drives or up to four 2.5"
hard drives.
