Introduction

1-1 Overview

The SuperServer 5017C-LF is a high-end server comprised of two main subsystems:

the SC510L-200B 1U server chassis and the X9SCL-F single processor mother-

board. Please refer to our web site for information on operating systems that have

been certiﬁ ed for use with the system (www.supermicro.com).

In addition to the motherboard and chassis, various hardware components have

been included with the 5017C-LF, as listed below:

 One passive CPU heatsink (SNK-P0046P)

 Two 4-cm fans (FAN-0106L4)

 Riser Cards: (see Section 5-6 for details)

One CSE-RR1U-E8 for one PCI-E 2.0 x8 card

 One CD containing drivers and utilities
